New Beginnings is owned by a husband and wife team, Kevin and Keara Everley. Keara has a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders and holds a Kentucky State License and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as a Speech and Language Pathologist. She has worked for the First Steps program and in pediatric home health since the Fall of 2007 and has had the opportunity to impact and empower numerous children and their families. She will be able to offer a fresh, in-depth, honest, first hand point of view on pediatric speech therapy services. Kevin Everley graduated in May of 2009 from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master’s of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (a mixture of Human Resources and Business Management). He has designed training programs for the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training and Eastern Kentucky University’s Human Resource Department. He has also worked for the Kentucky Department of Substance Abuse and the Bluegrass Army Depot conducting validity studies and creating job analyses. Kevin and Keara are the proud parents of a 9 year old girl and 13 year old boy. Their son has received occupational therapy for several years and their daughter received physical therapy briefly as a toddler as well. As a result, they have seen the efficiency and positive effects of pediatric therapy and wanted to be further involved. As a family, they are very thankful to God for the amazing opportunity to own and operate their own business for the greater good of others.

Our Very Proud Success Story with Pediatric Therapy…
Proud is does not do the emotion justice for a parent who has seen their child overcome obstacles in their life, especially early in life. Caleb Everley is the son of Owners Kevin and Keara Everley. Caleb received occupational therapy for several years for sensory processing delays, food texture aversion, motor planning delays, hypotonia, and hypermobility. He began receiving occupational therapy at the age of 2 through First Steps. Later he received pediatric occupational therapy via private pay and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Caleb has had to fight hard to overcome his delays and Kevin and Keara have put countless hours of work into keeping consistent home exercise programs for him as well. Now at age 13, Caleb starts at defensive mid-fielder for his middle school soccer team who recently got 2nd place in the district, and has placed in the top 5 in multiple archery tournaments across the state- even winning a couple! Pediatric therapy has literally changed the lives of the Everley Family. This is one of the foundational reasons why New Beginnings Therapy Services, and now New Beginnings Pediatric Therapy, were started. If you are a parent reading this who is overwhelmed and feel defeated, there is hope and we are here to help you through your child’s speech, occupational, and physical therapy journey!
